The surveyor came around 3 times over three days, he was working on other boats, too. First visit was for percussion tests of the hull, then the deck, then to check the inside of the boat. The report will be favorable, with some recommendations, like replace expired flares, service fire-extinguishers, etc.
After the survey was done, the crew from Yacht Help came and started scraping several layers of anti-foul. We are going back to old epoxy barrier coat and then build up with new barrier coat and lots of anti-foul on that.
Next step is sanding, after all the scraping, then fill a few gouges and sand that flush. We will also raise the waterline another inch... As you can tell, we are hiring out most the bottom-work this time, after having seen them work in teams of 4-6 on other boats.
