Spring Cleaning

Here, they call September 1st the start of spring. Time for spring cleaning before the haul out. Once hauled, we don't want detergents, acids, polishing compounds to run down from the deck and ruin the hull rub'n'wax job or the bottom paint.



This Sunday, South Africans watched their Rugby team win against Wales (a big deal around here, it is the world cup). We enjoyed a sunny and calm day at the dock and cleaned the boat, cabin top, wood trim, stainless... As always we had bystanders, visitors, watchers, behind the fence of the marina. Sometimes it feels like being in the zoo, on the other side of the fence.
