Labuan

Labuan is a free port and a federal territory of Malaysia. We are in an inexpensive Marina, first time since Panama, in Victoria, on Labuan Island. Since this is a free port, one has to clear with customs, immigration and port.



Lots of things to do:

• Wash ALL laundry, even clothes we haven't used in 2 years. Bedsheets, pillows, anything, it's time.... It lets us clean and inspect all lockers too.
• 
  The dinghy needs to be repaired, the transom is falling out. To glue this back in, the dinghy needs to dry out first, on the dock.
• 
  With unlimited fresh water, some boat cleaning is planned, inside and out

Being a duty free port, we will fill our stores to the brim. Anything seems available, Swiss chocolate included. The oil-industry employs many foreigners, lots of specialty foods from all over the world (including Europe) is on the shelves.

Ferries go to all kind of places from here, we might enjoy some day-trips using ferries up some rivers.

With the boat and dinghy in a secure place we will wander the many food stalls and markets at night.

Not all who wander are lost!
