Mirafores Lock: "Hasta La Vista" and "Lison Life"
We are anchored behind Flamenco Island. We don't have internet yet, therefore this short notice
Update: With our enhanced WIFI toolkit we have some internet. This won't be enough for skype, but we can at least update the blog, and stay up to date with the weather.
For the tech geeks: We usually use a "Alfa" 500mw USB Wifi adapter with a 6 db Omni antenna and 20 ft extension, hoisted up the flag halyard. Didn't work here. Next in line: A Ubiquity Nanostation, Power Over Ethernet, has directional antennas built in. Didn't work. We now use a Ubiquity Bullet-2HP, Power over Ethernet, with a 9 DB Omni antenna, up the flag halyard. That worked to get to a WIFI access point, the Ubiquity tool says "2.5 miles" away.
