- Boatname: "Movin On" gets the price for being the VHF Chatterbox. We couldn't get away from calls from/to her on the VHF. For your own and others safety you are supposed to have channel 16 on the VHF always on. This can get annoying when boats call each other all the time for st..id chit chat
- Boatname: "Gypsy Venus", Hailing port: "Key West, FL" gets the price for Arrogance and Indecency: Ship Channel Cay has a mile of shoreline to anchor, protected from the wind. We were the only boat, at one certain spot. What does he do? Anchor 150 yards away from us. Coming closer, we saw he was single handing, and he was naked. He did everything in his manly stature: Jib, main, anchor, then watched, standing on the bow, whether his anchor would be dragging. Oh, I forgot, he did wear a hat. Now, we are sometimes naked on our boat too, no problem, when nobody else is around. But assuming that this is ok with us and anchoring that close to us when you don't know us and there is another mile of anchor space, that earns you this award!
- Boatname: "Nice Butt" for the award of Worst Boat Name, there were too many to list but this one is great: The woman on the boat almost earned award #1. I am sure there is a great story behind the name, but this boat is a plastic-elastic Hunter. There aren't many boats worse to look at than these. We tried to hail them on the VHF as "Ugly Boot", but got no response ;-)

Shroud Cay to Ship Channnel Cay
This sail positioned us closer to the crossing of the Middle Ground. We will go into shallow water and want the rising tide with us. And flood is coming in the morning. Besides a tour in the dinghy to various coral heads, we just relaxed here and had some fun, collecting our thoughts about the three worst offenders during this trip.
