Warderick Wells, Exuma Land and Sea Park - II

In the morning we hiked the Southern part of the Island. The trails have signs to learn about the fauna of the Bahamas, that is good, so people can pretend to read while they are gaining back their breath.

At 12:30, at slack high tide we went snorkeling in the coral garden, right in front of the park headquarters. To other times the tidal current is running very high and a leisurely snorkel can become an exercise.

This has been our best underwater experience: A family (~10) of spotted eagle rays came thru one way, later some of the animals came back, one looked like it was checking out Silvie. Some rays had "cleaning" fish with them. We saw a turtle, trigger fish, parrot fish, angel fish, lobster, colorful corals and much more. Silvie couldn't stop talking once we climbed back in the dinghy. This was great!

Water is colder here than in the Jumentos, we had our wetsuits on, but after an hour or so we felt pretty cold and had to get back to the mothership. We don't have a professional underwater camera, still, check out the pictures in the photoalbum!
