Back from our 'clock-resetting' trip to Tonga, we met with several other boats we have seen over the 11 months we had spent in Fiji 2023-2024. Some crews had flown out and back, but many escaped by boat to other island nations. We got first hand reports about Wallis & Futuna, Apia in Samoa, Marshall Islands and got a chance to share the latest from Tonga.

In the meantime, we are shopping a lot, replenishing our stocks, repairing a few things, waiting for a shipment, like everybody else does.
We finally got a new mainsail cover made. We had bought the material a while ago, but never got around to the fabrication. Then there was the debate around mainsail cover vs stackpack... After looking at many 'stackpacks' and discussing their "benefits" with owners of these, we decided that wasn't what we wanted. A local shop replicated our mainsail cover with the new material. Some hardware is missing, twist-lock canvas fasteners seem unobtainable in the southern hemisphere.
