While we had no internet in Makogai, we still get our weatherforecasts via HAM radio. Two things came up: The long range forecasts seemed to agree that a possible weather window for a sail to Tonga is coming up in 8 days. Until then we will get a bunch of rain and some stronger tradewinds.
That made us sail back to Savusavu the same way we came, thru the Namena barrier reef. This time we had the sun in our eyes to get thru the north and south "Save-a-Tack-Passages". Not an ideal situation, but together with the tracks we recorded going the other way, we made it thru without danger.
