Savusavu, Fiji, this will be yummy for my tummy

Fiji sure has some troubled history. Christianization, Slavery, Blackbirding, Colonization, and then measles killing 1/3 of the population.

The last coup d'etat was just 15 years ago. Government seems stable these days.

Today, the ~55% Melanesian population is competing with some 38% Indo-Fijians,  descendants from times when the Brits brought indentured labor from India. Add a mix of Chinese and Korean families, plus a strong ex-pat community (mostly pale people).

When not finding a certain product in a local store, one may be pointed to 'the Asian stores', or the 'Indian stores'.

It all seems friendly enough and we will enjoy the heck out of the many ethnicities, specifically restaurants and eateries.

First up, a Korean eatery, meeting several of Dirk's requirements: no plastic chairs, a view, not eating from Styrofoam. The main road does cross between eyes and view, so that is a minus-point. At least no cars/truck park right there. We will come here more often, it is delicious.
