.. and loving it.
Makemo is a special place for us. We loved it 12 years ago and we were afraid a repeat would disappoint. But it doesn't :-)
Inside this atoll is a wide shallow shelf, mostly sand but with many coral-heads, some reaching the surface. For us, this is our most favorite way to snorkel. Shallow water allows the colors to be more vibrant than in deeper areas.
We remembered many giant clams with their colorful mantel (lips) and we found those too again.
We are also getting used to being shadowed by these nosy little friends:
Internet is via cell phone hoisted up the mast, and is from 20nm away, and spotty at best. So better pictures will have to be added later.
