Agua Verde, hike with the Karunas

Another favorite stop on this shore, less than 25nm from Puerto Escondido: Agua Verde

On a no wind day we motored there, with SV Karuna and we both ran the watermaker to fill our tanks while we are in deep, clear water.

Here we took the Karunas on a hike to a cave a mile away. The hike goes from the north beach over a hill for a first sweat. From there, we followed instructions we still remembered from 2 years ago:

This time we were the tour guides and had to get it right :-)

By the time we were back, the little restaurant on the beach had opened. We try to go there at least once every time we pass by. The fish we eat there is from the night before. The family has slowly added solar panels and batteries to also serve food after sunset. This time they also had dot-pen art for sale, probably supporting a local artist.

The place has LED lighting now
