We are still in La Paz, and while we feel cold at times, there are plenty places to have a meal or drink outdoors. While most of Europe is in some kind of lock-down, and the US is still screwing around with not impeding personal freedoms and highest COVID numbers ever, Mexico is late, but now possibly coming close to the second wave. The holidays and the visitors/vacationers surely made an impact with daily cases now as high as it was during the worst part of the first wave.
Following the yearly migration pattern, many boats have moved on to points south. We thought about it, and besides the temperatures, we don't feel we need to revisit those places. Some boats that waited out the first wave with us north of here, in Loreto / Puerto Escondido, just arrived in La Paz, also with little need to go any further south. La Paz provides everything one needs, most in walking distance, or with a $2 UBER ride.

- renew the 180 days allowed in Mexico by end of March = trip by rental car to the border
- line up for the C19 vaccination, considering two shots a month apart. Nations will first vaccinate their citizens, whether we can get it in Mexico is very doubtful anytime soon. More likely are trips to the US. With that, we probably position ourselves closer to the border.
