John, a friend of ours, who had also helped us bring the boat from the Caribbean to the Pacific via the Panama Canal, came to join us for the leg from Loreto to La Paz.
A well protected natural harbor and marina is 20km South of Loreto: "Puerto Escondido". We staged there for a week in prep of Johns arrival.

For shopping and picking up John by the airport we hired a rental car. Shopping was great, lots of fresh vegetables came in the day before we shopped. Stowing it was a bit more of a challenge. Then we had a nice afternoon off in downtown Loreto.
