Panama, anchored behind Isla Linton

The second night was a bit more difficult. The winds were light and fluky, and many freighters coming from or going to the Panama Canal passed us, often with less than a mile distance. At 4:00 am a big rain squall hit us and washed the boat plus Silvie on watch.

From there, the wind was so little, we started motor-sailing to our destination, a protected anchorage behind Isla Linton. We arrived with daylight and had good visibility of the reefs we passed going into the anchorage. We were a bit surprised to find some 30-40 other boats anchored here.

But is was still a quiet place, besides all the noises coming from the jungle: Howler monkeys and birds we haven't heard before.
