A great sail to Portsmouth Harbour, Kittery, ME / Portsmouth, NH

We had some fog in the morning which lifted around 08:00. Suddenly lots of locomotion on the boats, everybody got ready for leaving, been stuck here for long enough.

The morning was great, an exhilaration sail with up to 20 knots on the beam. After 13:00 the winds died, but we had made good distance. We had to motor for a couple of hours until the winds came back, from a different direction.

Now that we have left Maine, it is harder to find protected anchorages along these shores. And the protected anchorages are usually full of boats on moorings. Welcome back to areas with denser population. We anchored just outside of the mooring field in Pepperrell Cove. For dinner we went to Warrens Lobster House We didn't order any lobsters, had plenty of those in the last couple of weeks. But we had great Mahi and shrimp dinners. Best of all: The salad bar.
