Lightning
After working all day on the boat, just working on the many little things, a severe thunderstorm was predicted for the evening. We went for dinner to a bar. After we came back, we learned "EOS" was hit by lightning, at the dock. First evaluation: Black, burned, pieces of the VHF antenna (mounted on top of the mast) were laying on the deck. Most of the electronics are gone, except SSB. No obvious structural damage, but Tony will haul out on Monday to make sure. After all, he wants to cross the Atlantic. Engine seems to run ok, and alternator is charging.
